TLW solicitors swapped suits for walking boots at last Fridays Calvert Kielder
Corporate Quest joining in to raise £6,000 worth of cash for a good cause.

Donning hard hats and harnesses, six lucky TLW colleagues were picked out of a hat to take on The Kielder Quest for Calvert Trust Kielder. Calvert Trust Kielder is celebrating 30 years of enabling people with disabilities, together with their family and friends, to achieve their potential through the challenge of outdoor adventure.
The challenge, taking place at Kielder Forest and Water Park included a gruelling mix of physical and mental challenges including archery, clay shooting and high ropes.
TLW Solicitor Natalie Miller, who took part in the event, said: “We were really keen to get involved as Calvert Trust Kielder is a great cause, it was such a great feeling to win the team spirit award and we definitely feel this resonates both in and outside of work!”.
“I did the Great North Run for the charity two years ago – it is a fantastic organisation that does great work for people with disabilities.
“I and the others from TLW really enjoyed all aspects of the quest, but looking back a little nervous about what challenges we faced!”
“With such an exciting range of activities such as kayaking and archery challenges including a pre-challenge to develop an egg carrier where we had to keep an egg in one piece across the quest. I try to keep fit generally but it was definitely a big physical test.”
Also taking part in The Kielder Quest team from TLW Solicitors were Gabbie Macdonald, Fallan Carter, Terrie Moore, Emma Lewis and Lauren McNally.
Hazel Ditchburn, Corporate and Event Fundraiser at The Calvert Trust Kielder, said: “This is always a great event – highly competitive as you can imagine, but also very rewarding for all those involved. The Kielder Quest is just one of our fundraising activities but a perfect example of businesses and charity working together.
“We are thrilled that TLW Solicitors stepped up to the challenge, as its such a fantastic day. The support that we have received from John, Peter and the team is absolutely invaluable to us and the people we help here at Calvert Trust Kielder.”
