Katy Wilson

Katy has considerable experience in civil litigation, representing claimants in a range of cases including general personal injury, industrial disease, professional negligence, and financial mis-selling. She now manages and supervises a team of solicitors and paralegals, primarily focused on pursuing claims against finance providers under the Consumer Credit Act for clients who have been mis-sold solar panel systems.

Katy and her team have been at the forefront of solar panel mis-selling claims. Initially, these cases were rejected by both the finance providers and the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Despite those rejections, the team continued to push arguments on behalf of its clients.

Through a combination of issuing Court proceedings against the finance providers and detailed arguments to FOS, TLW’s solar team changed the approach taken by the finance providers and FOS such that the majority of cases are now upheld in the first instance and offers made to clients. Katy enjoys managing a team of people working together to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.
