Paralegal

TLW is looking for an experienced paralegal to work within our financial mis-selling team. This will involve exposure to both litigation and ADR.

We are looking for someone who is thorough with an eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also be commercially aware and open to learning new areas of law in a firm that continue to diversify, as and when opportunities present themselves.

The successful candidate must be able to research and analyse the relevant case law. They must have experience of managing their own workload and be able to work both alone and in a team, assisting other members of the team where necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties will include:-

• Taking detailed statements from clientsand prospective clients.
• Evidence gathering to support the claim.
• Analysing documents.
• Collecting and reviewing financial information, including accounts.
• Working to deadlines and associated tasks.
• Communicating appropriate advice to clients.
• Researching and keeping up to date on case law, the CPR and pre-action protocol and FOS decisions.
• Communicating and negotiating with finance providers and defendant solicitors.
