We have a new opportunity for a recent law graduate to join our team to support the work of our fee earners in the Professional Negligence team.
Due to continued growth and recent client wins, our workload has increased. This has led to an opportunity for a recent law graduate to join our team as a Paralegal. This is to support the work of our fee earners in the Professional Negligence team to help them effectively progress client claims.
Client experience is key for us, our clients need to know that we have tried our hardest to get an outcome for them. You will have a key role in communicating with clients, mostly by phone, to ensure that they know that TLW Solicitors have their best interests and priorities above all else.
You will be predominately working with our case management system, which assigns tasks on cases to be completed and updated in real-time. Full training will be provided to help you learn about the role to gain the experience and confidence to be able to work autonomously.
You will have a law degree and (ideally) experience in a customer-facing role.
You will be able to:
We are a values-driven organisation, our values are our code for how we work, they are what drive us forward. They provide the framework for making decisions like who we hire, who we promote, and how we get things done.
Due to current workloads, paid overtime is available for this role. This is not something you are expected to do, an exception, rather than the rule.
Hybrid – Up to 50% home working once fully trained.
Please send your CV and cover letter to cthornton@tlwsolicitors.co.uk.
We operate a hybrid working scheme.
Once colleagues are fully trained in the role (usually after the 3-month probationary period), they can work up to 50% of the time from home.
Getting comfortable with your job and getting settled in is the mission during your first 3 months at TLW. We understand the importance of building relationships with colleagues and find it’s crucial to work alongside more experienced colleagues, where you can ask questions and learn the job.
Your preferred home/office working pattern will be discussed with you and set in advance to a maximum of 50% of working from home over 2 weeks. We will try and accommodate personal preference but it has to first and foremost fit within the requirements of the business and team dynamics.
However, we also appreciate that it is not always an option or optimal to work from home, so staff do have the option to work full time in the office should they choose to.
With reasonable notice, we would expect you to be available to attend in-office meetings even if they fall on your normal home working days.
Necessary working from home equipment will be provided.
