TLW named in the top 20 in the Country

TLW Solicitors have been confirmed as one of the country’s top 20 firms of solicitors dealing with chest disease claims against British Coal.

In a response to a written parliamentary question TLW Solicitors had at 20th April 2008 settled by way of compensation payment 6,734 claims out of 8,098 claims registered under the compensation scheme. The average compensation payment received by our clients was £3,154 with all claims being dealt with on a ‘No Win – No Fee’ basis to ensure our clients received 100% of all compensation.

John Burn, Partner in charge of TLW’s British Coal chest disease department commented, “the number of successful claims are a credit to our dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly in their pursuit of these claims. However, we continue to strive towards ensuring that our remaining clients' claims are dealt with as quickly as possible so that compensation payments are made to ex colliery workers or their relatives before the compensation scheme is wound down”.
